When I folded and cut each small paper rectangle to create a three-dimensional triangle, two flat triangles remained.  To me, these remnants—all 36,000 of them—represent the survivors of the victims of gun violence for these 200 days. Visitors can touch these remnants, feel their heaviness, and think about the far-reaching impact that gun violence has on people’s lives.
